We help more than 550 immigrants and refugees a year find a place for themselves in St. Paul through meeting basic needs, providing formal education, advocacy and mental health services and working for systemic change.

Services

MORE is first and foremost a home, a loving place in which those who come here can find a second family, support amidst and respite from the many stressors they face. Over the years within the context of this relationship, MORE has sought to respond to the needs of the people as expressed and named by them, to empower them to set and meet personal and communal goals for improving their lives and happiness, to increase their capacity to participate in and contribute to the larger community, and to join with them in engaging the larger society in moving towards the reduction of poverty, racism and other forms of injustice.

MORE currently lives this out through five primary activities: Adult education (ELL) for new Americans, basic needs, case management/advocacy, mental health, and systemic change efforts, each designed to empower participants and to assist them in moving out of poverty.
